Shyla

today is the release date for my first book: the fainting game (and other stories). you can order it from game over books! in honor of the release, id like to share the following film with you: shyla.

i wrote the first draft of the shyla script in late 2017. in 2018 it won grand prize in the bolt by barnstorm competition, so barnstorm produced and filmed it. i submitted the film to the roxbury international film festival and it debuted there in 2019. that was the only public exhibition of the film... until now.
