What's New, August 2025
I started the month with a series of poetry slam wins.
I won at my home venue (Slam Euphoria), which made me the venue's indie rep for Vox Pop (more on that in a moment). The next day, one of my teammates and I drove downstate to Rockland Slam and I took first there, too.
As previously mentioned, winning Slam Euphoria's first competition this month made me the venue's representative for the indie slam at the regional poetry tournament, Vox Pop. We're also sending a team! If you're near Manchester, NH Sept. 12-14 you should come watch the show(s).
At Slam Euphoria's second show this month, I hosted the slam. 'Twas fun. I tried to get a selfie from the stage, but all I got was this blurry mess.
Aside from that, I've just been creating more: prepping new records, playing piano, freestyling, and writing new poems. I finished reading Revenge of the Tipping Point by Malcolm Gladwell (very broad), watched The Batman (melodramatic enough to be silly), and listened to The Awakening by Iniko (ambient R&B) and Minnesota Locamotive by Cabana Beach. That puts me at 7/12 films, 7/12 books, and 10/12 albums (I'm only counting one; one was an EP). Meanwhile, here are some tweets:
Alright! Back with more in September! See ya!
