What's New, July 2026

Hi! Two major efforts this month.

First, I'm in the final sprint toward my next album release. It'll be the first Dataleak-exclusive drop ever! I've been testing improvements to the site and more importantly, doing some press. I was on a podcast! Check it out.

I also recorded some commentary to stand alongside the music. Everything should roll out in the fall. Stay tuned.

The other major project this month was preparing for the NorthBeast poetry competition. I won't be competing, but I've been coaching the Slam Euphoria team. I hosted our sendoff show on the 17 and we took some instant-develop photos. I scanned a grainy one for this month's Zeen cover. Anyway, our regional bout is Friday night. Come see if you're nearby!

I started and finished So Far, So Good x Ursula K. Le Guin, a short, calm book of poetry (5/12 books). I then started A People's History of the United States x Howard Zinn, which is neither short nor calm. I also fell back in love with my turntable. I got through the remainder of my un-listened vinyl records then went digging through crates for some new ones.

I won't bother to specifically list out everything I listened to. Some Duke Ellington, some Janis Joplin, some Carole King, a bunch of live jazz recordings and compilations. I definitely got through enough new music to complete my year goal of 12 new albums. Huzzah!

Back in August with more updates. Thanks for rocking with me ✌🏼
