What's New, April 2026

Hi! Slipping this newsletter in under the wire that is May 1!

I vaguely planned to do a 30/30 (30 poems in 30 days) this month. I lost track midway through the month, but it did push me to write more. I finished a new draft of The Turkey Is Fine (my most recent play). I spent a lot of time at the piano writing new melodies for my new words; swooped by the local music shop and got myself a couple of books of sheet music for inspiration.

Last week I hosted aboard the Mothership a musician/producer I've been collaborating with since high school; he left me a new synth to play with.

I also did a more work on the Dataleak streaming site. No spoilers on the new features coming though...

I finished reading For Colored Girls Who Have Considered Suicide / When the Rainbow Is Enuf x Ntozake Shange; I listened to Let God Sort Em Out by Clipse. That puts me at 2/12 films (way behind), 3/12 albums (a little behind), and 3/12 books (though I am midway through three others). I listened to a little more of Uglies x Scott Westerfeld, though my will to listen to audiobooks is slipping away slash being buried under falling behind on other goals.

the problem is after i smoke weed i suddenly dont see any chores

As always, I've many pots on the metaphorical stove. The literal stove is a bit less cluttered. More creation to come! Back with something to share soon!
