What's New, July 2025

Hello once again! Did a bunch of stuff in July. Human stuff even! Away we go...

At the beginning of the month I was in Providence for a few days. I spent the 4th overlooking the city from a hotel downtown.

These photos do not do justice to how many fireworks I could see at the same time in every direction. After that, I headed to Boston for a short set at Boston Black Pride.

Then I was back in the Metro the next weekend for the Northbeast Poetry regional.

Made some memories with Slam Euphoria, the team out of Troy, NY that I've been organizing with. I also ran into the folks from Game Over Books who were doing me the big favor of showing my book off to poets.

Since then I've been back aboard the Mothership prepping more art for later. I edited my new play and finished up a couple of records for soon. Speaking of which, since my last newsletter, I dropped Do Cocaine.

It's a weirdo dance track! Maybe calling my music "weirdo" is redundant. Anyway, the streaming version is abbreviated, but you can find the full-length club version in the DATALEAK multi shop.

This month I listened to The Carter VI by Lil Wayne (eh), read The Big Book of Exit Strategies by Jamaal May (pretty good), and started Revenge of the Tipping Point by Malcolm Gladwell (beach reading). I haven't watched a movie yet, but I do have one on deck and that might happen before August. In any case, that puts me at 9/12 albums, 6/12 films, and 6/12 books. Behind a little on the books and films; ahead a little on the albums. On average I'm about where I'm supposed to be.

Finally, here are my Best Tweets for July...

This one got the edgelords very upset.

Thanks as always for hanging out. More soon ✌🏼
